Kampala Parents of Children with Disabilities Association – Makindye (KAPCDAM) is a community development Association that advances the rights of parents and children with disabilities.
ABOUT KAPCDAM
KAPCDAM works together with the parents of the Children with disabilities, their children, communities and partners, and strive for a just world, confronting the root causes of the challenges facing Children with disabilities. The organization empowers parents to sustain their children and demand for their rights.
OUR PROGRAMS
Economic Empowerment
KAPCDAM works in partnership with the parents’ support groups to increase the provision of safe and inclusive opportunities for income generation.
Quality & Inclusive Education Governance
This program focuses on early childhood, parenting education and participatory inclusive school governance, promoting enrolment and retention of the children with disabilities in schools.
Strengthening protection, gender equality & Inclusion:
We collaborate with government and other civil society organizations to strengthen community child protection systems.
