What We Do

Our Programs

Currently, KAPCDAM runs the following three programs that are guided our strategic plan and constitution:

Economic Empowerment

Through this program, KAPCDAM works in partnership with the parents’ support groups to increase the provision of safe and inclusive opportunities for income generation. We strengthen the parent’s participation in and manage economic empowerment initiatives such as Fashion and design, beauty and body care products (The parents are trained to produce Liquid soap, shower gel, Jelly oil, Body lotion, shampoo and conditioner).

Quality & Inclusive Education Governance

This program focuses on early childhood, parenting education and participatory inclusive school governance, promoting enrolment and retention of the children with disabilities in schools. To achieve this, we particularly work with the parents of children with disabilities, children and partners.

Strengthening protection, gender equality & Inclusion

We collaborate with government and other civil society organizations to strengthen community child protection systems. We particularly address harmful gender-based practices and cultural norms as well as the protection issues of children with disabilities.

Support our Work

We support interventions that transform unequal gender power relationships, achieve improvements in the social position of women, and girls with disabilities, and address barriers that limit their enjoyment of rights.  To achieve this, we tailor our parenting sessions to simulate behavioral changes.
